Almost perfect, but you made one very big mistake

This is without a doubt based off of Super Mario Bros. 2. You left out 1 key aspect that both made it easier on the player as well as made certain situations possible. Jump being a button rather then up... biggest flaw you could have put in, cant jump on vines, cant jump near doors, cant jump vine to find to kill the crawler ladybug things like in Mario 2. Also Luigi(the green guy don't much care on rename) jumps ridiculously high. Like 1 super jump skips a vine high. Your movable blocks are glitchy, if you drop it at a stand still it sometimes thinks there's a block under it and magically floats 1 block higher. The bombs also go off a second or 2 too fast making them near impossible to use for anything , took me 10 tries just to get a few off properly on the first lvl going through the door. Those are minor things, the biggest flaw is jump, making it up really ruined the game for me, a lot of stuff I could do in Mario 2 couldn't barely be attempted and after level 2 I stopped, wasn't worth the time. This is an amazing game with tons of potential but not having a separate key for jump ruins it for this old school gamer.
Oh and by the way you got "Maria" AKA Peach's jump just right, last long enough to get around and short enough to avoid massive abuse.

Good

Good game but it really has nothing to do with the mafia except the characters dressing, Also Theirs a lot of glitch's in the game that can make it really annoying.
One for instance is that i was using maria on the second level, She can't jump high enough to make it to the top of the cloud rows at the beginning of the level...Even with a charged jump. Also the controls are a little slippery...But other than that good game, Great animating...A very nice tribute to the Super Mario Land series.

:D! i love smb2 even though its just a copy of doki doki panic, its still fun, and this game is awesome too!! 4/5 :)
